One by One Ministries :: Our July Nonprofit of the Month {2021}
One by One Ministries is a nonprofit headquartered in Memphis, TN, currently serving moms in West Tennessee, North Mississippi, and Texas. For more than 20 years, One by One Ministries has been working hard to offer hope, support, and parent education to moms through mentoring. It is our mission to mentor and educate new moms to parent well so that children thrive! Throughout our history, we have served over 1,150 moms, and our mentoring program is now available in both English and Spanish.
The majority of the mothers we serve are single moms of varying ethnicities and financial backgrounds. Many are facing unplanned pregnancies, and are in need of support and direction. When moms come to our ministry, we match them with our trained mentors to provide quality, personalized ministry for each mom that educates, empowers, and transforms their lives as new moms. Every mentor who is matched with a mom is committed to walking beside her for 18 months, beginning prenatally and continuing until the child’s 1stbirthday, to support her through the process of becoming a new mother. Our mentors provide unconditional love and support, help our moms with parenting tips and life skills, share the gospel, and connect them to church and community support networks. Upon completion of the Year One Program, moms may enroll in our Year Two Program or our Discipleship Program as well. It is our vision that all moms will accept God’s love and parent well so that children flourish.

“This ministry has saved my life in a number of different ways. One by One Ministries grew me closer to the Lord and rekindled my relationship with him. I feel blessed to be a part of something that has not only changed my life, but every person’s life involved with the ministry. I think One by One Ministries is amazing, well thought of, and designed by God. I pray God will continue to expand the ministry in any and every way possible to reach more lives and save more souls. I don’t know where I would be without One by One Ministries, and I hope to give back by serving in this ministry one day.”
One by One is currently enrolling pregnant women or moms with new babies. Our mentoring ministry is available to first-time moms, as well as moms who already have other children. Our mentors are committed to meeting with moms at least once a month, with weekly contact by phone or text.
