Memphis Moms Easter Events Roundup

Easter is right around the corner and nothing gets the kids egg-cited like an old fashioned Easter egg hunt! We’ve compiled a list of SOME of the egg-cellent Easter egg hunts taking place around the Memphis area, as well as some appearances by the Bunny himself!  So get out the pastels, dust off the Easter baskets, and hip, hop, the hippie, the hippie, to the hip, hip, hop, and you don’t stop… until you’ve checked out all of the Easter fun listed below:

Belltower Story Time and Bunny Visit

Location: Belltower at Shelby Farms

Date/Time: Saturday, March 31, 10:15am

Description: Join us for our monthly Story time + Craft! The Easter Bunny arrives right at 10:15am. Make sure you have your phone camera ready! At 10:30 there will be an Easter story book reading, followed by a fun Easter craft, provided by Little Lemon Art Studio. Live music happening, too!

Cordova Eggstravaganza

Location: Bert Ferguson Community Park

Date/Time: Satruday, March 21, 9:30am-noon

Description: Join the Town of Cordova’s very first annual Eggstravaganza of the Year — a fun-filled Easter celebration for the whole community! Egg hunt for 3-6 year olds is at 10:00am and for 7-12 year olds is at 11:00am

Hop and Shop

Location: Collierville town square

Date/Time: Saturday, March 28, 10am-1:00pm

Description: Join Main Street Collierville’s annual Hop & Shop — a family-friendly spring celebration in the heart of downtown Collierville! Bring the whole family and enjoy: photos with the Easter Bunny in the Gazebo, festive music on the Square, shopping at your favorite local shops, and a Golden Egg hunt inside participating shops featuring special surprises!

City of Bartlett Easter Egg Hunt

Location: W.J. Freeman Park

Date/Time: Saturday, March 28, 9:00am

Description: Join us for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the A. Keith McDonald Pavilion at W.J. Freeman Park. This annual event is organized by the Bartlett Parks & Recreation Department. 

The Easter Bunny has once again promised to some and start the hunt and will stick around to have pictures made with all of the children. The Egg Hunt, for ages 10 and under, will feature plenty of candy-filled and toy-filled eggs as well as special eggs that win special prizes! The concession stand will be open to sell coffee, hot chocolate and snacks.

Easter Egg Eggstravaganza

Location: Morris Park

Date/Time: Friday, April 3, 10am-2:00pm

Description: Join Memphis Parks for their Easter Eggstravaganza at Morris Park! No preregistration is required for this event. Easter egg hunts are first come, first served.

Age-Specific Easter Egg Hunt Times:

Ages 4 & under: 10:15–10:45am
Ages 5–7: 11–11:30am
Ages 8–10: Noon–12:30pm
Ages 10–12: 1–1:30pm

YMCA Springfest

Location: Millington YMCA

Date/Time: Saturday, March 28 9am-1pm

Description: Celebrate the season with a fun-filled day for the whole family! Enjoy outdoor activities, crafts, and snap a photo with the Easter Bunny. Don’t miss our Easter egg hunt in the pool at 12pm Bring your swimsuits and waterproof baskets!

Bunny Brunch at the Zoo

Location: Teton Trek Lodge

Date/Time: Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29, 9:00am-12:30pm

Description: Spring into fun at the Memphis Zoo with brunch and a special visit from the Easter Bunny! Enjoy a delicious buffet-style breakfast, get up close with an amazing animal encounter, and snap a photo with the Bunny himself. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season with family and friends—don’t miss this egg-stra special tradition!

Easter Egg Hunt at the Dixon

Location: Dixon Gallery and Gardens

Date/Time: Saturday, April 4 9:00- 10:30am

Description: Hunt for eggs and meet the Easter Bunny! Ages 3 and under will begin promptly at 9:30am, and ages 4-8 will follow. Juice and healthy snacks will be provided to-go.

Riverfront Easter Festival

Location: Mud Island River Park

Date/Time: Saturday, April 4, 11:00am- 4:00pm

Description: Memphis’ largest Easter celebration with egg hunt with over 20,000 eggs! Lots of family fun, giveaways and smiling kids at the Riverfront! This annual community event is packed with excitement for all ages! Plus :

Germantown Parks and Rec Easter Egg Hunt

Location: Bobby Lanier Farm Park

Date/Time: Saturday, March 28, 8:45am-Noon

Description: Hop on over for egg hunts, games, and activities, including age-divided hunts with prizes. Meet the Easter Bunny and collect candy-filled eggs—don’t forget to bring your own basket! Pre-registration is required, and participants must register online by Thursday, March 26, at Germantown-TN.gov/Registration

Midtown Easter Egg Hunt

Location: Peabody Park

Date/Time: Saturday, April 4 at 3:00pm

Description: Arrive at 2:45 with filled eggs. Big kids and adults will hide the eggs and the hunt will start at 3. Stick around after for snacks!

After-Dark Egg Hunt

Location: Bobby Lanier Farm Park

Date/Time: Friday, March 27, 7:00- 9:00pm

Description: For ages 9-12. Come dressed in your best glow gear! Eggs are filled with candy and prizes are awarded. Flashlights are required for this egg hunt, plus bring a bag to collect your goodies. The rain date is Tuesday, March 31. Space is limited!

Special Needs Events:

Hope 4 Macky & Friends Annual Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt

Location: Hope Presbyterian Church (Entrance 3)

Date/Time: Saturday, March 28 11:00am- 2:00pm

Description: Join Hope 4 Macky & Friends at our annual Eggstravaganza! This is a free event for the special needs community and their families, with food available for purchase. There will be lots of EGGS, games, caricature artist, professional face painter, inflatables, petting zoo, and MORE!!

Beeping Egg Hunt for Visually Impaired

Location: W.J. Freeman Park

Date/Time: Saturday, March 28 9:00am

Description: The Bartlett Lions Club will be hosting a Beeping Egg Hunt, where visually impaired participants can search for eggs that have an internal beeper. Each egg can be exchanged for a gift bag with treats and candies!

For special needs participants, there will also be Eggs with long poles to allow participants to locate them while using assistance devices.
