Candy People :: The Best Way to End a Shopping Trip

This post is sponsored by Candy People, however the words and opinions expressed are 100% genuine and ours. Especially the part about this candy being dang delicious.

With the opening of IKEA Memphis came a lot of things. We’ve introduced y’all to most of them {mainly furniture and cool light fixtures and the idea of dumping your kids at a fun place while you shop}, but we haven’t properly introduced you to what will undoubtedly become your family’s new obsession: Candy People.

Pick and Mix to your heart’s content…

So in the restaurant portion of the new IKEA, there is a candy section. That candy section holds one of the most incredible things your kids have ever seen: Candy People’s Pick and Mix Candy

And if we’re being honest, it’s one of the most beautiful things we’ve ever seen, too, but I digress…

It is a literal wall of candy, with scoops and bags set up so you can choose your favorite and take it home. You scoop however much candy you want into a bag, and the idea is that you can put all your candy in the same bag, although I’m kind of anal and get individual bags for each type of candy. Which, as it turns out, is not frowned upon.

It’s all priced at $7.99 per pound, which sounds like a lot at first, but you really don’t realize how much a full pound of candy is. That is actually a heck of a deal, especially since this isn’t just any candy you can find anywhere. Candy People candy is manufactured in Europe using Scandinavian recipes and ingredients, and we especially love it at Memphis Moms Blog because it’s “clean” candy.

What is “clean” candy?
• No trans fats
• No high fructose corn syrup (HFCS)
• No genetically modified organisms (GMOs)
• Natural colors

And if you’re an avid reader of our blog, you’ll know that our contributor Emily has turned a lot of our houses into artificial dye-free homes! Is it still candy? Yes. But we feel better about what’s in the candy, because Candy People is so open about their ingredients.

The perfect end.

At the end of an eventful shopping trip, there’s not much better way to celebrate everyone making it out relatively drama-free than with a trip to the candy section of IKEA, where everyone can pick out their favorites from the Pick and Mix area.

So go ahead, Mom. You and your kiddos deserve it.

And, pro tip: go for the Rambo Melons. Trust us.

Trying this #Rambomelon we've heard so much about! #memphismoms #ad #candy #ikea @ikea_memphis @memphismomsblog
