5 Memphis Organizations to Support This Giving Tuesday

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

moneyToday is Giving Tuesday. A breath of fresh air after a crazy 3 day shopping spree of Black (Business) Friday, Small Business Saturday, and yesterday’s Cyber Monday. Today is about spending money — but in a way that directly impacts the 901! This Giving Tuesday, we’ve selected five area organizations to get the spotlight (and hopefully your dollars).

5 Memphis Organizations to Support This Giving Tuesday

Did you know Memphis surpassed Salt Lake City this year to rank as the most generous metropolitan area in the United States, giving almost $6 of every $100 earned to philanthropy? While there are so many amazing organizations in our city dedicated to looking out for the well being of all Memphians, we wanted to focus our Giving Tuesday spotlights to those specifically related to parenthood and investing in the lives of kids.

1 |  Memphis Mom Collective Single Mom Fund

To be honest, we would be remiss if we didn’t tell you about our heart for single moms. Being a mom is hard. But here at MMC, we feel that being a single mom, especially around the holidays, is extra hard. This year we’re unable to host our city-wide toy drive and annual Single Mom Spa & Shop. Because of Covid (ugh), we’re pivoting our plans — and still striving to bless a single mom. That’s why for every $50 donated, we’ll send a single single mom who registers for our assistance, a $50 Amazon gift card. It’s that simple. It’s that easy.
