Soup’s On :: Delicious Crock Pot Recipes for Fall

I swear I’m not being cheesy when I say this, but there’s something about the crock pot (or slow cooker to be completely precise) simmering all day in the kitchen that puts the cutest little burlap bow on an otherwise ordinary fall day. And, bonus … come dinnertime, all the work is done! #winning

So, here are a few of our favorite slow cooker recipes to add yumminess and ease to your chilly autumn days. And, please, be sure to drop your favorites in the comments as well!

Chicken and Dumplings: You might already have everything you need for this classic dish, slow cooker-style. So easy!

Mississippi Pot Roast: I’m not sure what makes this Mississippi, but it’s good whatever the reason is. Eat it with mashed potatoes or on hoagie rolls with melted mozzarella!

Buffalo Chicken: Who else is into all things Buffalo chicken right now? This one is super easy, and you can use the chicken 40,000 ways—sandwiches, salads, nachos, oh my!

Mexican Shredded Chicken: Not a Buffalo fan? Try this three-ingredient recipe for Mexican shredded chicken that’s just as versatile!

Mozzarella-stuffed Meatballs and Sauce: In the mood for Italian? Put these on for the day and serve with pasta or on a hoagie roll.

Chicken Broccoli Lasagna: A classic recipe with a twist and in the slow cooker? Yes, please.

Vegan Chana Masala: I am a huge Chana Masala fan, and I can’t wait to try this slow cooker recipe that came highly recommended by one of our contributors.

Tuscan Garlic Chicken With Spinach and Sundried Tomatoes: Cozy up to all the flavors and aromas of Italian cooking without it being super heavy.

The Soup: Okay, I haven’t tried this yet, but apparently this soup is all the rage in the crock pot sub-culture. Our contributor made it with triple the garlic and added paprika and chili flakes. Seriously … can’t wait for this one.

Grandma’s Hungarian Stuffed Cabbage: Either you love it or you hate it—if you don’t know, just give it a try.

White Chicken Chili: I don’t know about y’all, but in my mind, SEC football and white chicken chili in the crock pot make for the most stellar fall Saturday.

Beef Stroganoff: Ah-mazing. Throw a few ingredients in the cooker, and enjoy this yumminess at the end of the day.

Thai Chicken Curry: I haven’t made this recipe, but it is fairly close to one I make often. Sometimes, I just throw coconut milk, brown sugar, garlic, ginger paste, curry powder and chicken in the crock pot and then serve over rice. So good! Anywhere between my “recipe” and this one is a good place to fall. You can’t go wrong. (Sorry to write so much about this one. I have a thing for curry.)

Honey Garlic Chicken and Veggies: Just a little sweet and just a little savory.

Pot Roast: What would a crock pot recipe list be without a traditional pot roast recipe? Yum…sign me up!
