Spring Fashion Inspiration
Spring is only a little over a month away, and this is the time of the year when I start craving fresh updates that I can mix into my winter wardrobe for a seamless seasonal transition. One of 2016’s colors of the year is rose quartz and I couldn’t be more excited about that! I have a soft spot for the soft and feminine hue, and not just because pink is my favorite color! Blush pink is such a versatile shade that’s wearable in all seasons and pairs well with almost any other color. It looks fantastic with both mint and olive greens, navy, and even burgundy, but my favorite complementary colors are creamy whites, cool greys, and classic black. Let the shopping begin!
Workplace Chic:Â Dress; Necklace; Blazer; Heels
How gorgeous is this dress?! It could easily transition from the office to happy hour! (Sleeveless version here.) Pair it with a modern open-front blazer (this one is a great buy at under $100 and comes in several colors!), a statement necklace, and unique suede heels (no pedi required!) for a fresh spring look that will have you eager to get dressed for work. All of these pieces are classic and versatile: throw on a black blazer over anything, wear the statement necklace with casual and dressy outfits alike, and nude heels are always great year-round staples!
Weekend Wear: Loafers, Chambray, Jeans, Vest
You didn’t think I would leave a chambray top out of this post did you? It’s a staple in my wardrobe and is a great piece for transitioning into spring! It looks crisp with white jeans (these are the perfect mid-rise) and you can top it with a fur vest for added warmth and color! Add some pizzazz with a glitter loafer and you have a spring-ready and comfortable outfit to run around town on Saturday with your family! Also, if you don’t feel like washing your hair on the weekend (let’s be real, who does?!), you can throw on a hat like this and no one will be the wiser! *Note: I’m an animal lover and am not an advocate for genuine fur. There are many faux fur options as well, such as this blush ombre vest that’s currently on sale (and also hanging in my own closet)!
Date Night: Bag, Skirt, Top, Boots
We don’t get date nights very often because both our parents live over 500 miles away, but when we do, I always wish I had something like this to wear! Spring is the perfect time to rock a sleeveless turtleneck, and it doesn’t look too stuffy when paired with a mini skirt and over the knee boots (similar, more affordable pair here). Go ahead and buy this skirt now, and wear with tights, booties, and a leather jacket to keep warm until spring arrives!
Target Run: Sweatshirt, sunglasses, jeans, sneakers
Sweatshirts don’t have to be slouchy hoodies from college! On your next Target run, skip the yoga pants in favor of this comfy ensemble that’s perfectly fit for chasing kiddos up and down those Threshold aisles! Balance a feminine jeweled crew neck with relaxed jeans, sporty sunglasses, and sneakers that are as stylish as they are comfy. And just as a PSA, check out these blush pillows on your next trip… I may or may not already have them 😉
