Friday Faves
Last week MMB hosted our first "Moms Night Out" officially celebrating the re-launch of the blog. It was a perfect evening, with clear skies and an amazing view. The group of ladies attending enjoyed some quality, uninterrupted conversations while {slowly} savoring their refreshments. Our massage therapist was able to coax these on-the-go moms to slow down time for just a bit. For exhausted moms, the time spent enjoying friends, good food and drinks (without kids and men around!) was just what everyone needed!

A BIG SHOUT OUT to our Friday Favs

Tower Center's Bistro 33 Lounge
This elegant space is well known for their wedding and event venue, but did you know they host happy hour daily from 4-7?! Drinks range from $3-6 and hot/cold appetizers, like BBQ chicken pizza flatbread  (delicious btw!) are only $5 each! Enjoy the fabulous view of East Memphis for an extra special time.

Charity Bake
Memphian Jenny Bell has a passion for mission trips to Peru. Out of her love for this country, Charity Bake was born. All proceeds of her whimsical cut out (homemade!) sugar cookies go to missions. She's so talented, and she can create any design you prefer! (For me, she's already done unicorns, roller skates, 4 Star Wars characters and 2 different logos!) As Christmas approaches, and at only $3 a cookie, you better call her today!!!

Massage Therapist: Tia Williams
Originally from Georgia, Tia and her family reside in East Memphis. Tia is a certified massage therapist and primarily works out of her Winchester location. Masseuse to the stars, Tia is the one called to massage celebrities, such as Adam Levine of Maroon 5, when they're performing in town! (So cool!)

Stanley's Sweet Street Treats
Memphis couple Mike and Rose have a delicious thing going on here. Not your average food truck, their offerings include a soft-shell BLT and smoked Mac-n-Cheese, both for only $9. Driving their truck all over Memphis, they specialize in gourmet food at an awesome rate! Don't forget a bite of OMG-Chocolate cashew toffee as an after lunch treat!

It’s Time :: Moms, Let’s Do Better
I have a serious question. (This rarely happens. *wink*) When did it become okay to be late? Maybe I’m old-school or am just imagining it (I’m not.), but it seems these days it’s becoming more and more typical for people to casually stroll into meetings 10-15 minutes late, blow off dinner plans for an hour […]
Veterans Day and Our Kids
My first memories of celebrating Veterans Day are from elementary school. In my tiny hometown of Bruceton, TN, we had an awesome celebration each year to honor veterans in the area. Since our school had kindergarten through 12th grade in the same building, the entire school attended the program. I have such fond memories of the Veterans of […]
