A Fresh Vacation Idea :: The Omni Dallas {GIVEAWAY!!}

Disclosure :: All attendees of the CMBN Sister Site Conference received discounted accommodations and amenities at Omni Dallas as part of their sponsorship of this post. However, all opinions are our own.

Last fall I had the awesome opportunity to head to Dallas for our annual Sister Site Conference, a gathering of the site owners of other City Moms Blog Network sites from across the country where we learn from one another, receive valuable training, and have a whole lot of fun.

To say I was thrilled that our conference was in Dallas might have been an understatement. I'm from Texas, and to be completely honest, was still at that time in the process of moving to Tennessee from Austin, so the opportunity to visit Dallas and experience more of the state before making the final move was really exciting. Dallas has so much to offer families, and isn't a bad flight at all from MEM. Brave families could even make it a road trip--it's only about a 6.5-hour drive from Memphis. And the next time you’re in town, I have a new hotel that I would highly recommend you add to your list when planning a short getaway:  The Omni Hotel Resort.

The hotel itself is huge and the location is hard to beat. Set in the heart of downtown Dallas, we had several members of our group take a short walk from the hotel to Dealey Plaza to stand in the footsteps of history. There are shops to visit, a beautiful view of the city, fancy couches and fireplaces and a feel of comfort everywhere you look.  Since I was in store for three full days without kids, I was pretty excited to get checked into my room and rest in the beautiful, beautiful silence.

The room was absolutely beautiful. Armed with two keys and a helpful bellhop to help me with all my luggage (including a suitcase dedicated to just shoes), I got into my room and immediately fell back on the bed.

And I took a nap. Yup. You know, those things our kids really don't appreciate.

Sure, there were other cool things — a stunning view of the Dallas skyline, a TV hidden in the mirror of the bathroom, a fun spread of treats sent on behalf of the Omni Dallas staff — but that nap was GOLD. And that bed made it easy.

But there was work to be done! After that short recharge, I headed out to the beautiful patio area outside one of the Omni Dallas restaurants for a meet & greet with the other site owners. With perfect weather, a spread of appetizers and beverages (read: WINE) to enjoy, and a fireplace for ambiance, it was a wonderful way to kickoff the weekend.

The entire staff at Omni Dallas is incredible. They take so much pride in their hotel and its amenities, and make it their goal for you to enjoy every single aspect of your stay. We had the opportunity to visit with several people who were there just to make our lives easier--and I loved how accessible these people were the entire time we were there. Any questions or concerns were immediately addressed, and always with a smile.

In addition to the conference spaces where we spent the majority of our time, there was a luxurious spa, pools, a fitness center, a sports bar, a coffee shop, other shopping locations, and more, all right there in the hotel. I even found out that they specifically cater to kids when they stay! Perfect for families!

The Omni Dallas was the PERFECT place for a conference, but this is definitely on my list of must-stays if I come back to Dallas with the family!

We also had a ladies night out to remember, and met Sarah, the heart behind Neighbors Table. Sarah’s mission is to bring families, friends, and communities together — one table at a time. They don’t just build outdoor handcrafted tables, they are on mission of love to serve and be connected.

Since I had such a great stay at the Omni Dallas, I am excited to give you a chance to win a stay there too!
