These ladies have been with the Memphis Moms Blog for at least a year. We value their creativity and passion for the community. Can't wait for you all to hear more of their voices!
A native Memphian who did a 5-year stint in Knoxville for undergrad+grad school, Kathryn loves Memphis. Being a Memphian by birth and by choice, she takes any opportunity she can to share her favorite spots with anyone who will listen. Kathryn is married to her high school sweetheart, a fellow VOLS graduate who is in his residency at University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and a mom to Ruthie, born January 2015. After being team #midtownismemphis for (almost) her whole life, Kathryn traded in bunaglows and original hardwood for closet space and access to Target. She's adjusting to being an East Memphis mom, but luckily still makes it to all her favorite Midtown spots. Being a mom is the hardest but best thing she's ever done.

Alissa, a native Memphian, is a tried and true VOL fan. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Currently, she is the Director of Curriculum at a private school in East Memphis. Alissa is mommy to Jack (January 2010) and Julianne (August 2011) and husband to Scott. Alissa lives in Collierville with her family and their lab, Abbie. She is a type-A planner. Organization is a must for her – both in her professional and family life. She hates odd numbers, onions, and people who drive slowly in the left lane. She loves pedicures, Matilda Jane clothes, the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.
Kristin is a little bit of the South and the Southwest rolled into one. After being carted around both regions by her military family, she ended up back south of the Mason Dixon line in South Cordova. Kristin is a freelance writer (when not chasing kids around), runner (when not pregnant), mama, and not-so-domestic wifey (all the time). Convinced that “balance” is a myth, she frantically parents a diva named McKenna (June 2009), a honey badger named Meda (May 2013), and a not-yet-nicknamed baby, Rockie May (December 2015), as well as her 30-Something husband. She is the author of the devotional ebook, "Thou Shalt Not Kill: Encouragement for When We Want to Kill Our Kids," and blogs at www.KristinFunston.com.

Mama to little girl, Ella (Valentines 2014), French Bulldog, Snugs, aka Pup-Pup, and wife to her Mississippi native husband. Lauren is a Yankee born and raised in a suburb of Washington DC, then living in New York City for the majority of her adult years, where she met said southern heartthrob. Relocating to Memphis in 2014, Lauren couldn’t be happier with her excuse to use “y’all” while basking in the pleasure of mild winters.
The mother of two boys, Robert (1999) and Matthew (2001), she is loving life. Being a divorced mom is not easy but together with her family, Belinda makes it work. Born in Chicago, she moved to Memphis at a young age. Belinda is happy to raise her sons in the Crosstown area. She loves the big city life with the small town feel. Belinda is an avid thrift shopper and sports fan. By day she is the Director of Community Outreach for a local non-profit that helps empower women to plan their futures. Belinda’s purpose in life is helping others be successful, not just in her own community but the world’s community.
