It's nearly Independence Day! We've put together this handy-dandy guide for you to find celebrations (and fireworks!) near you! So glob on the sunscreen, cover your kids in red white and blue, and get ready for some summer memories!

Fireworks on the Farm 2016: Benefiting the Palmer Home for Children | Cedar Hill Farm

Fireworks start at 9:00pm 
Farm activities 5:30pm - 8:30pm
Live music at the Pavilion 7:00pm - 9:00pm
**lighted Playground will stay open until the start of the show**
Parking Fee/Donation: $20.00 per car, $40.00 per passenger van & $50 per bus
All proceeds to benefit the Palmer Home for Children
Parking fee/Donation Includes: Entry into the Farm, a Hayride around the farm , the Petting Zoo, the Chicken Show, Cedar Hill Railroad, the Giant Slides, and use of our Play and Picnic Areas. The Chicken Show and Hayrides run continuously, the last Hayride leaves the barnyard at 8:15pm. We take credit/debit card at most stands including admissions and the snack bar. No personal checks! We do accept school, church and business checks.
Extras, Not Included with Admission: Pony Rides ($2.50), Feed for the Animals ($0.50), All Food and Merchandise.

The annual Patriotic Pops concert, sponsored by Second Presbyterian Church, will include favorites such as the Star Spangled Banner and Battle Hymn of the Republic. The event will feature members of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra as well as guest artist Jonathan Blanchard. Blanchard, who grew up in Memphis, is a soul singer whose music fuses the genres of soul, funk, jazz, spirituals, and R&B. The evening will conclude with the 1812 Overture and a fireworks display.

2016 Flag City Freedom Celebration

Gates open at 4:00pm
Gate fee: $5 per vehicle
The Freedom Celebration will include a fireworks show and there will be a children’s play area. Bring your picnic basket, blankets, coolers and lawn chairs. Food and concessions will be available. Alcohol will be sold. No pets, no fireworks and no open fires (also no grills, tents, soliciting or political campaigning).

A Central Gardens tradition for more than 30 years, this event attracts 300-400 attendees to the 1500 block of Carr Ave. (between Willett and Rozelle) on Independence Day morning for free refreshments, children’s and pets’ patriotic costume competitions, music, and door prizes. City police and fire departments are typically invited to participate as well.
